My new house

New house , new house, new house!!!!!!!
I am so super dooper in love with my new house.I have not lived in a house for years - so its nice to have a bit of space and a back yard. I got a big room with a cupboard and some shelves and a nice big window. There is plenty of room so anyone planning a trip over you are welcome to come to my house.
My flatmates are Sharon ( will be known as Shaz ) is lovely and Welsh. Dave....Ummm...yep..I thought about it...he is hot... kind of looks like Chad Hugo from NERD.
There is a garden that is ridiculously overgrown , its a bit of a jungle and you can not really get out the back door at the moment, but I am going to make it my mission to get into it and get it sorted - I want to sit in a backyard whilst the weather here is still half decent.
Only problem, which I discovered when I went to heat up my leftover Chinese on Sunday morning - there is no microwave. They have never had one, apparently you can get by. I swear there are things that taste better in the microwave, right know I can not think of anything but really if this is the only bad thing about the pace I think I will live.

My new favorite saying

If you are heading out for a big night you say....'I am going out for a night on the razz'.
This is the best thing I have heard in a long time - It is defo my new favorite thing to say.
Work is hella busy , had my first big big client meeting since being here but it went down a treat they loved my ideas and signed off on my million pound recommendation - yeah!
Also had an in house client pitch day thingy today and my team one, so we are having a 'pitch off' against another group and the winners will each get a trip some where in Europe so I can not wait for that - for winning today we got a day at a cooking school in soho and a wine tasting night.

I am finally moving house tomorrow and can not wait. Apparently moving house in London is a bit tricky as no one drives so you can not ring up a mate with a ute to ask for a favour. The way to do it is to move house in a black taxi - classy! That being said, I have not been in a car for months so it will be tres exciting.

Gotta go now its is a pals birthday and we are heading out for a night on the razz!

Home to call my own

So after months an weeks and days of looking at shit holes and crack dens I have finally found some where to live. I move in this weekend and I am super excited. It is in East London in the trendy bit. There will be plenty of stories I am sure - I think this will go hand in hand with living in a share house but for the moment I am nothing short of busting at the seams to get there and un pack, I have been lugging my suitcase for 5 months now!

Did some good stuff last week. Went to see the roots at Sommerset house, was good, was full of home g joint smoking dudes they played my song ' The seed' and it was unreal

Then the next night I doubled up and went back to Sommerset house to see Amy Winehouse. Now Amy has been a naughty girl of late, not turing up to gigs, spiting on people and carrying on like a pork chop but she did none of the above. She did a very good show.

Kelly Osbourne came on to introduce her and then came back to do backing vocals and shimmy to 'Rehab' . Amy's junkie husband was standing on the side of the stage looking like a junkie and blowing her kisses and she said some funny one liners and sang some good stuff.

Also went to the Tate Britan and took a boat down the Thames. Made a birthday cake for a friend and got a little carried away with the sprinkles but it went down a treat.

Celeb spot

I went to a swanky hotel in Covent Garden for a breakfast meeting this morning and Sally from Home & Away was there. She was reading a script and eating toast, she left a bit on the plate, If I wasn't with people I so would of taken her scraps to put on ebay.
Reminds me of the time I was at Darling Harbour with some friends at Bungalow 8 and we saw her and as a 'dare' one of my friends went over to talk to her and was really surprised that she was so normal and willing to chat. He was expecting to be barred but she was super nice.
She looked good, love that little Sally.

Spelling

My lovely assistant asked me how to spell Boomerang.
Because I am Australian she thought I would know, this is how she justified it... 'cause you know about Aborigines and stuff'.
Also, ~I fell over and now have a scab in the shape of a heart which is rather cute, it takes away from the ickyness of the actual crusty scab, now if I can only find my camera cord I will prove it.

Madonna wants to work with me

There are ways to get ahead in your career, below is NOT one of them.
I was at a work party the other night, talking to a few people form work, some other randoms and a few sales reps. After about 15 minutes, no one had introduced me to this guy, everyone seemed to know who he was so I thought I would just introduce myself. It turns out he is the MD of my company - he has been away for a few weeks but pretty much he is my big big big boss. Rather embarrassing, I got to work the next day, every one knows so now I am getting paid out for it left right and centre.
Better news, today a guy in another department came down to tell me that his client has some thing to do with Warner music blah blah blah and then he actually said the words 'Madonna wants to work with you' . Once I picked myself up off the floor and asked him to explain, he said that she wants to associate herself with a perfume brand and she likes mine. Wow. So we are organising meeting next week, I wonder if I can take a camera to a client meeting?
Also, did this face morph thing, where you up load a picture of you and it matched you to celebrities. Apparently my matches are...
Rachel Leigh Cook, Karolina Kurkova ( super hot model),Yuen biao ( who???some martial arts expert), Bing Crosby( dad would be happy), Delta Goodrem, Sophie Ellis Bexter, Katherine Hepburn, Chris Wolstenholme(no idea), and Moinca Lewinsky - classy!

Tube Rage

Well, wasn't really a fight as such but was a heated argument. Could of escalated and punches might have been thrown,( I highly doubt it) but all in all , I saved the day.
So I was on the tube this morning, now the rules go...get the tube before 7.45 and you get a seat, but any later and you are standing all the way to work and it is packed. Its been a little hot lately and that underground system is kind of like a sweaty mice infested transportation device.
This morning there was an old man on the tube, then young girl gets on and it goes some thing like this...

Man: Hey, watch out
Girl: Whats your problem old man
Man: There is no room
Girl: What you talking about old man, there is plenty of room
Man: Don't call me old, you little tart
girl: What!! I am not a tart, where do you get off calling me a tart
Man: You area a tarty little slut
Girl: Who the F*^%^&%k do you think you are ???
Man: I said there was no room and you just pushed in
Me: Hey Hey Hey!!!!! What the hell is going on here???
Girl: She said blah blah blah
Girl: He said blah blah blah
Me: OK, it is way to early for this rubbish, you are both on the train, you haven't even noticed that is is already moving because you are arguing like children !
Man: She is a stupid little tart
Girl: He is a stupid old man
Me: HEY LEAVE IT ALONE, YOU ARE RUINING EVERY ONES DAY!
Man:.....
Girl:......

I won! The whole train went silent, and stayed that way for the rest of the journey.
Really he was a bit of a stupid old man and she was a bit tarty so they were both right but I could not stand there and listen to them for any longer.

Best Day Ever

I have had some good times in the last couple of months but by far the best time I have had was yesterday, at Live Earth.
It was just such an awesome day, now unfortunately I am suffering from the worls worst hangover. On the train home we realised that between us, me & Gemma drank 24 Smirnoff Ice's so that probably has some thin gto do with it.

Ok ok, so here is a run down of all the brilliant bands that I saw yesterday;

Genisis - We couldn't think of a song that we would know, but we knew them when we heard them , just don't ask me to name them.
Razorlight - Jonny Borrel looks like a woman but he plays a good guitar,I like that song 'America'. Gem also saw Kirsten Dunst loitering off stage.
Snow Patrol - First time I have ever heard that Chasing cars song and not wanted to punch something.
Damien Rice - Unreal, had ex boyfriends memories( he gave me the CD and ruined it for me)
Kasabian - they didn't play the one song that I know but were still good.
Paoulo Nutini - Awesome, that 'Jenny don't be hasty' is a wicked song.
Black Eyed Peas - really really fun, every one was jumping around Taboo is HOT! Also, never been a fan of Fergie but she looked very good and was dressed very appropriate we thought.
John Legend - Played only 1 song and should of done more.
Duran Duran - Awesome, I have seen them before and they know what they are doing. Unfortunately did not play Rio, but still all good.
Chilli Peppers - They were having sound problems and Anthony Kiedis kinda stormed off the stage as soon as they were finished but they were still good. Flea was the best.
Bloc Party - Unreal
Corinne Bailey Rae - Who? Toilet break
Keane - A band without a guitarist....odd
Metallica - OK, so they place went bananas. They were SOOOOOO good. Enter Sandman was so unreal it bought out the head banger in all of us. Defo the best so far....
SpinalTap - Bought on all the bass players from all the bands
James Blunt - Snooze. Toilet break.
Beastie Boys - Unreal, Sabotage went mental. They were up there with Metallica as a fave.
Pussy Cat Dolls - We are 110% sure that they were miming, which you can not do at Wembley, them the rules! They are hot, but a little to slutty for a Charity/fundraiser concert, but I love them all the same.
Foo Fighters - Just awesome. All my life was ridiculously good and My Hero was brilliant, Dave Grohl is now my Hero and Taylor Hawkins ain't that bad either. In the top 3 best of day.
Madonna - I'll be honest I was worried that she might not live up to it considering how unreal the Foo Fighters and Metallica were, but she was brilliant. Her first song was some boring save the world crap but then she did La Isla Bonita and Hung Up and it was like a giant disco. Everyone was singing and dancing and carrying on she is well fit for a 40 year old. I had a bit of a cry, might of had something to do with the million drinks I had and the fact I had been standing for 8 hours but its Madonna, I have waited years to see her (at a reasonable price!)

So, Metallica , The Foo Fighters ,and Madonna were the favorites of my day and Beastie Boys. Honestly is was all just so unreal I can't decide.

They crossed over to Sydney a few times, we went mental.
Only down side....they ran out of food. There were 72 million people and the canteen ran out of food, all I could eat was a bag of chips, come on, were is the events management team! And the other thing, Justin Timberlake was rumorred to be playing, he didnt show, kinda bumed out. I shouldn't really complain - but I did any way.

Why I moved to London

A few people have asked me why I moved to London, its a tough question to answer. It is mainly because I want to do new things, I want to get some more experience for my career, I want to travel Europe and London is close to everything, I want to live some where totally different. But to be honest there is another reason for why I moved here and it is the main reason.... It is because I love celebrities and London is celebrity central. My boss came back from lunch today and Gwen Steffani was at the table next to him, he bought her a drink. Also, just put a date in the diary to go to lunch at The Ivy, I had to spend a million pounds with this magazine to get it but still, I am going. Woo!!

Dumb things people have asked me...so far...

I have a feeling that this will not be the first email about stupid things people have said to me, based on my being Australian.
I am out numbered in my office, there is 1 girl from New Zealand and the rest are British. They have come from all around the place, Wales, the Midlands (where???) down South, Ireland and other places.
There once was an Australian who worked here but not for a while so I think they forget that Australia as a country is well advanced, we have simple thing like electricity, running water and cars.
The other day I was asked if I knew where Las Vegas was.
Seriously people, do you think I am from another planet or just a different country???
Today I was talking to a guy on the phone and he said to excuse him as he was eating chocolate and he went onto describe that it was a round chocolate with a toy in the middle. It is called....'Kinder' . He was totally amazed that I had heard of it, I told him that like in England , in Australia we also had supermarkets and that I had actually eaten a Kinder chocolate before. Amazing!!

Love seeing famous people

I was walking around Brick Lane in the poring rain looking at places to live and Lily Cole walked past me. She is total uber model and stunning looking, very very very thin with legs like little twigs but so pretty. She was schlepping it in the rain like everybody else. Didn;t have time to take picks was trying not to drown in the down pour.
